Collection: Woody Materials

Raw materials and bases with a woody character for building modern, dry, creamy, amber, musky or resinous structures.

The woody family includes very different materials: dry cedar-like notes, creamy sandalwood materials, vetiver, patchouli, high-impact woody ambers and transparent molecules that work mainly on volume and structure.

How to choose a woody perfumery material

For a transparent and velvety effect, materials such as ISO E SUPER® and TIMBERSILK™ are useful; for a more powerful amber-woody base, AMBER XTREME™, AMBROCENIDE or AMBERWOOD® F can be chosen; for greater creaminess, sandalwood bases are particularly useful, while vetiver, patchouli and oud accords move in more earthy, resinous or dark directions.

The choice depends on the function the woody material should perform in the formula: olfactory signature, volume, diffusion, depth or support within the base.

Product pages include olfactory profile, role in the formula and available technical data.
