An aquatic accord does not necessarily mean the smell of the sea. It can be transparent and floral, ozonic and mineral, salty, green, or characterised by nuances of melon and humid air. Different materials therefore perform very different functions in a formula.

How to build a marine or aquatic accord

CALONE creates the classic marine-aquatic effect with its characteristic melon facet. FLORALOZONE works more on the impression of air, ozone and freshness after rain. CYCLAMEN ALDEHYDE can introduce a floral-green aquatic component, while AQUA PHORE adds a softer, more complex facet. Marine bases allow you to start from a pre-built accord and modify it according to the formula.

To create a more convincing effect, it is often useful to combine a dominant aquatic material with citrus, green, mineral, woody or musky elements rather than simply increasing the dose of a single molecule.
