KARANAL BASE

KARANAL BASE is a very powerful, dry and structural woody-amber material with a metallic signature that distinguishes it from softer, more velvety woods. Its value lies not only in strength, but in its ability to add tension to the base and make the woody framework of a composition more incisive.

Olfactory profile

Woody, amber, dry, warm and metallic, with a harder, more vertical sensation than ISO E SUPER® or TIMBERSILK™. The note is clear, modern and highly persistent.

In formula

KARANAL BASE is particularly useful for reinforcing woody and amber bases, energizing masculine or unisex structures and creating greater contrast with musks, vetiver, cedar and aromatic accords. Combined with softer materials, it can act as a true “backbone” for the composition.

With ISO E SUPER®, Cedramber or related materials it makes it possible to build more layered bases: volume materials create space, while KARANAL adds dryness, definition and drive.

How to work with it

It is advisable to introduce it gradually and evaluate it in the drydown. In excess it can make the base too hard or metallic; at lower levels it can increase projection and character without becoming immediately recognizable as an independent note.

When to choose it

It is particularly suitable when a woody-amber accord feels too soft or indistinct, when greater tension is needed in the base or when building a dry, powerful and contemporary foundation.

The product is packed to order; the container may vary depending on the selected format and the characteristics of the raw material.
