WINTER CEDARWOOD BASE

WINTER CEDARWOOD BASE is a woody base built around a dry, fresh cedar accord, with a humid nuance recalling wood after rain. It is designed to provide a cedar-like structure that is more complex than a single molecule and more controllable than a natural essential oil.

Olfactory profile

Woody, dry, fresh and slightly humid, with nuances of cedar, bark, cold air, wet wood and a light amber component.

In formula

It is particularly useful in woody, fougère, chypre, dry amber, incense, leather and aromatic compositions. It can quickly provide a coherent cedar-like base, increase the impression of real wood and create a more structured drydown without building the accord from scratch.

With VIRGINIA CEDARWOOD ESSENTIAL OIL it gains greater naturalness; with VERTOFIX® COEUR it becomes drier and more structured; with ISO E SUPER® it gains volume and diffusion; with vetiver and patchouli it develops a darker, earthier direction.

BASE or CEDARWOOD ESSENTIAL OIL?

The base offers greater consistency and an already built structure, with a more controllable humid-fresh nuance. Virginia cedarwood essential oil is more linear, natural and recognizable for its typical pencil-shaving and sawdust note. They can also be used together.

When to choose it

It is particularly suitable when a fresh, dry and already balanced cedar structure is needed, capable of working as a stand-alone base or as support for more complex woody accords.
