Raw Material Selection – Citrus, Iris, Leather and Woods

Selection built around the requested profile: top notes of lime, bergamot and cardamom; a heart of licorice, iris and pink pepper; and a base of sandalwood, ambrette, patchouli and leather.

For the citrus opening, BERGAMOTTO INVERNALE BASE, CARDAMOMO BASE, DIHYDROMYRCENOL and CITRAL have been selected. The latter two can be used to build a bright, fresh facet close to a lime effect.

In the heart, IRIS BASE and PEPE ROSA BASE directly reflect the requested notes. Licorice is not currently available in the catalogue as a specific raw material, so it has not been replaced with a non-equivalent ingredient.

For the base, the selection includes SANDALWOOD BASE, BACDANOL® TOCO, AMBRETTOLIDE IFF, HELVETOLIDE® 947650, PATCHOULI BASE and CUIR DE RUSSIE BASE. SUEDERAL LT and ISO BUTYL QUINOLINE 54 can be used to modulate the leather character, while LABDANUM RESINOIDE can add amber and resinous depth.
