CARDAMOM BASE

CARDAMOM BASE is a compound spicy base designed to quickly introduce the aromatic, fresh and warm character of cardamom without building the accord from several individual materials.

Olfactory profile

Spicy, aromatic, fresh and slightly bittersweet, with green, citrus and balsamic nuances. Its character is brighter and more vertical than cinnamon and clove.

In formula

It is particularly useful in oriental, woody, citrus, tea, dry gourmand and modern spicy accords. It can energize an aromatic heart, create contrast with sweet notes and connect citrus, spices and woods.

With bergamot and lemon it becomes fresher; with tea and musks it gains a more modern character; with woods and ambers it creates a drier spice effect; with vanilla or cocoa it creates contrast without becoming overly sweet.

CARDAMOM, CINNAMON or CLOVE?

CARDAMOM BASE is the freshest, greenest and most aromatic of the three; CINNAMON BASE is warmer, sweeter and more enveloping; CLOVE BASE is more phenolic, dry and incisive. They can be used together, but they perform different functions.

When to choose it

It is particularly suitable when a luminous, elegant and less sweet spice effect is desired, capable of moving through both the top and heart of the composition.
