HELVETOLIDE® 947650 Firmenich
HELVETOLIDE® is a modern musk from dsm-firmenich with a soft, rich and luminous signature inspired by ambrette. Its distinctive feature is a particularly volatile fruity pear facet: unlike many musks, it does not work only in the base, but can already be perceived in the early stages of evaporation and accompany the composition from top to base.
Olfactory profile
Musky, soft and slightly powdery, with nuances of ambrette and pear. The character is warm and rounded, yet airy at the same time: the fruity facet adds brightness and makes the musk feel less static and more dynamic.
In formula
HELVETOLIDE® is particularly interesting when you want to add volume to a musky structure without weighing it down. It can smooth fruity notes, support floral accords and create continuity between the opening, heart and base.
In fruity compositions it can make a pear facet feel more natural and persistent; in florals it adds softness and diffusion; in skin-like musks it brings a warm, enveloping sensation without losing brightness. dsm-firmenich also describes it as a material capable of fixing a composition without suppressing it.
A musk that also works in the top notes
One of the most interesting qualities of HELVETOLIDE® is its unusual volatility for a musk. For this reason, it is considered one of the few “top note musks”: it can contribute to the initial impact of a fragrance while remaining perceptible throughout the evolution of the formula.
HELVETOLIDE® or HABANOLIDE®?
HELVETOLIDE® is fruitier, softer and more ambrette-like, with a clear pear signature and a brighter presence in the early stages of evaporation. HABANOLIDE® is drier, more incisive and more structural. Used together, they allow you to build a more complex musky base, combining softness and volume with definition and tenacity.
