CALONE

CALONE is a high-impact synthetic raw material, fundamental for building and studying marine and aquatic accords. Its profile combines salty air, water, ozone and a characteristic green-melon nuance that can become highly recognizable even at relatively low levels.

Olfactory profile

Marine, ozonic, aquatic, green and melon-like, with an impression of humid air and brackish water. Its character is incisive and immediately identifiable when it becomes an important part of the accord.

In formula

CALONE can form the core of a marine accord, introduce water and space into transparent florals, or add ozonic contrast to citrus and green structures. On its own, however, it does not build a complete sea effect: for a more articulated result it can be combined with floral-aquatic, ozonic, citrus, musky and woody materials.

With FLORALOZONE it gains more air and ozone; with CYCLAMEN ALDEHYDE it becomes more petal-like and aquatic; with citrus and green materials it increases freshness; with musks and pale woods it can move into a cleaner, more contemporary marine drydown.

How to work with it

It is a very powerful material and its effect changes quickly with dosage. For comparative trials, micro-dosing or training work, preparing a working solution can be useful, making it easier to observe the transition from simple aquatic freshness to a dominant marine signature.

CALONE or FLORALOZONE?

CALONE is more marine, green and melon-like; FLORALOZONE is airier, more ozonic and more transparent. The former is useful when a recognizable aquatic signature is needed, while the latter is better when the main goal is to introduce air and diffusion.

When to choose it

It is particularly suitable when you want to build a recognizable marine accord, introduce an ozonic-melon facet, or give a composition a strong aquatic identity.
