VANILLA BASE

VANILLA BASE is a compound gourmand base designed to introduce a warm, soft and continuous vanilla effect quickly, useful when the base needs greater roundness without building the entire vanilla accord from scratch.

Olfactory profile

Vanilla-like, sweet, creamy and slightly balsamic, with a soft and enveloping sensation. The character is more rounded and melting than dry or spicy.

In formula

It is particularly useful in gourmand, amber, oriental, vanilla-wood, musk and creamy-floral compositions. It can soften abrupt transitions, increase cohesion and give continuity to the drydown.

With benzoin and resins it becomes more balsamic; with COCOA BASE it becomes darker and more gourmand; with CINNAMON or CARDAMOM it gains a more articulated spicy character; with sandalwood and musks it develops a creamier, skin-like texture.

Base or vanilla built from individual raw materials?

VANILLA BASE allows you to start from an already balanced structure and focus on the overall character of the formula. A construction based on vanillin, ethyl vanillin, benzoin, tonka and balsams instead offers greater control over sweetness, dryness and depth.

When to choose it

It is particularly suitable when a soft and cohesive vanilla is needed to link the base, musks, woods and balsams without automatically becoming the main theme of the composition.

The value refers to the maximum concentration in the finished product, not to the percentage of the raw material in the fragrance concentrate.
