TERPINYL ACETATE IFF

TERPINYL ACETATE is an aromatic-green material with a herbaceous, citrusy and slightly woody character. Compared with LINALYL ACETATE it is less bright and floral, but offers a more stable, dry sensation closer to pine, lavender and green spices.

Olfactory profile

Aromatic, green, herbaceous, citrusy and slightly woody, with nuances of bergamot, lavender, pine and cardamom. The character is fresh but less juicy than a classic floral acetate.

In formula

TERPINYL ACETATE is particularly useful in lavender, fougère, bergamot, pine, citrus and spicy accords. It can broaden an aromatic top, create more continuity between citrus and herbs and introduce a clean pine nuance without becoming resinous.

With LINALYL ACETATE and TERPINEOL it helps build more complex freshness; with cardamom, thyme and lavender it creates an aromatic bridge; in fougère it can make the upper part less sweet and drier.

TERPINYL ACETATE or LINALYL ACETATE?

LINALYL ACETATE is more floral, soft and bergamot-like; TERPINYL ACETATE is more herbaceous, pine-spicy and dry. The former adds brightness, while the latter structures aromatic freshness.

When to choose it

It is particularly suitable for lavender, fougère, pine, bergamot, citrus and spice accords when a drier, greener and more structured aromatic freshness is desired.
