TABAC BASE

TABAC BASE is a compound base designed to build a warm, dry and slightly sweet tobacco accord quickly, with woody, spicy and smoky nuances. Its value lies in creating an already readable heart-to-base structure that can easily be directed toward leather, amber, gourmand or woody styles.

Olfactory profile

Tobacco, wood, warm spices, light smoke and a sweet-balsamic nuance. The character is drier and more structured than a simple vanilla or liqueur accord.

In formula

It is particularly useful in tobacco, leather, amber, dark chypre, adult gourmand and woody compositions. It can become the core of the formula or be used in smaller amounts to add warmth, dryness and depth.

With COGNAC BASE it gains a more vinous and woody dimension; with RUM BASE it becomes softer and more gourmand; with CINNAMON, CARDAMOM or CLOVE it can be steered toward different types of spice; with CUIR DE RUSSIE it becomes smokier and more leathery.

How to work with it

In small amounts it can darken and add body to a base without making tobacco explicitly recognizable. At more substantial levels it becomes a central signature and should be balanced with freshness, woods or floral materials to avoid an overly compact effect.

When to choose it

It is particularly suitable when a warm, dry and versatile tobacco structure is needed to connect spices, woods, leather, amber and gourmand notes.
