STYRALLYL ACETATE
STYRALLYL ACETATE is a green-floral raw material with a fresh, penetrating and slightly fruity character. It is particularly useful when modern green tension is needed in the top notes or when the vegetal component of white flowers and green accords needs more liveliness.
Olfactory profile
Green, floral and fruity, with nuances of gardenia, lilac, rhubarb, unripe pear and a light metallic component. In concentrate it can feel harder; in dilution the fruity-floral side becomes clearer.
In formula
It is particularly useful in gardenia, tuberose, lilac, hyacinth, lily of the valley, rhubarb and green-fruity accords. It can provide a drier, more contemporary opening, create contrast with creamy flowers and make the transition from top to heart more dynamic.
With BENZYL ACETATE it becomes more floral and luminous; with galbanum or other green notes it increases vegetal tension; with aliphatic aldehydes it gains greater brightness; with green fruity materials it can develop a very modern pear-rhubarb direction.
How to work with it
It is a characterful material and is best evaluated after several hours or the following day, because it tends to integrate into the formula and can feel less aggressive than on first impression.
When to choose it
It is particularly suitable when an incisive green-floral note is needed for gardenia, rhubarb and green fruits without relying on a purely grassy effect.
