ROSE OXIDE 90/10
ROSE OXIDE is a high-impact floral-green raw material, fundamental for building the fresh, metallic and slightly fruity part of a modern rose. It occurs in traces in several natural materials and quickly introduces a highly recognizable signature of rose stem, geranium and lychee.
Olfactory profile
Rosy, green, metallic, humid and bright, with nuances of geranium, snapped stem, lychee and aromatic wine. At high concentration it can feel hard and pungent; in dilution its floral-fruity component becomes clearer.
In formula
It is particularly useful in rose, geranium, lychee, red fruits and green florals. In traces it can increase diffusion and naturalness; as the level increases, the metallic-rosy signature quickly becomes dominant.
With CITRONELLOL and GERANIOL it makes rose more vivid and three-dimensional; with DAMASCONE ALPHA it creates contrast between freshness and dark fruit; with green notes it can emphasize the stem; with lychee and exotic fruits it reinforces the sensation of fresh peel and pulp.
How to work with it
It is a very powerful material and is best evaluated at strong dilution. Very small changes in dosage can significantly alter the balance between rose, geranium, green facets and metallic character.
When to choose it
It is particularly suitable when a rose needs to become fresher, more modern and more diffusive, or when building a convincing lychee-rose accord with green and metallic facets.
