RHUBARB BASE

RHUBARB BASE is a green-fruity base built around the effect of fresh rhubarb: tart, juicy and vegetal. It is useful when a modern fruity note with stronger green tension is needed than pear, peach or tropical fruit.

Olfactory profile

Fruity, green, tart and fresh, with nuances of rhubarb stalk, green apple, citrus and a light watery component.

In formula

It is particularly useful in modern fruity accords, citrus, fougère, green accords, transparent florals and fresh woods. It can contrast structures that feel too sweet and introduce a sensation of unripe, vibrant juiciness.

With citrus it becomes brighter; with CIS-3-HEXENOL or LIFFAROME it increases its vegetal component; with pear or apple it builds a crisper fruity accord; with HEDIONE® it gains greater floral transparency.

BASE or rhubarb accord built from scratch?

The base quickly provides an already readable and balanced effect. An accord built from individual molecules instead allows separate control over acidity, green facets, fruit and transparency.

When to choose it

It is particularly suitable when a tart, modern and vegetal fruity note is needed to lighten a composition and make it more dynamic.
