PHENYLETHYL ACETATE

PHENYLETHYL ACETATE is a floral-fruity raw material with a rosy, honeyed and slightly balsamic character. Compared with PHENYL ETHYL ALCOHOL it is fruitier, sweeter and more mobile, with greater presence in the top and heart.

Olfactory profile

Floral, rosy, fruity and honeyed, with nuances of pear, apricot, pineapple, cherry and a light anisic-liquorice component.

In formula

It is particularly useful in rose, lilac, honeysuckle, fruity accords, honey, vanilla and floral gourmands. It can lighten a rose accord, introduce a ripe-fruit nuance and create continuity between petal, honey and fruit.

With PHENYL ETHYL ALCOHOL it builds a richer and more dynamic rose; with BENZYL ACETATE it increases brightness and movement; with fruity materials it creates a more natural transition toward the floral heart; with vanilla or cocoa it can add a softer, more sensual nuance.

How to work with it

It is a versatile material that works well both as an accent and as a more substantial part of an accord. At low levels it adds movement; as the amount increases, its rosy-fruity and honeyed signature becomes more evident.

When to choose it

It is particularly suitable when a fruitier and brighter rose is needed than one built with PHENYL ETHYL ALCOHOL alone.
