PARA METHYL ACETOPHENONE
PARA METHYL ACETOPHENONE is a sweet floral raw material with an anisic, vanilla-like and slightly spicy character. It is particularly useful for building hawthorn, mimosa, acacia and linden effects, and can also introduce a powdery-spicy nuance into leather and modern floral accords.
Olfactory profile
Floral, sweet, anisic and slightly spicy, with nuances of hawthorn, acacia, vanilla, cumin, hay and almond. In concentrate it can feel harder and less readable; in dilution its floral-powdery facet emerges more clearly.
In formula
It is particularly useful in mimosa, hawthorn, acacia, linden, lilac, leather and spicy-floral accords. It can add body to the heart, create a dry sweetness and introduce an unusual signature between floral, anisic and gourmand.
With HELIOTROPIN it increases the powdery-almond facet; with ANISIC ALDEHYDE it becomes more floral and anisic; with COUMARIN it moves toward hay and tonka; with leathery notes it can add contrast and softness.
How to work with it
It is a powerful material and is best evaluated in dilution, especially when used as an accent. Small amounts can add a floral-spicy nuance without making the note explicitly recognizable.
When to choose it
It is particularly suitable when a hawthorn-mimosa-acacia direction is needed, or a drier anisic floral sweetness that is less gourmand than vanillin or heliotropin.
Packaging
The product is packed to order; the container may vary depending on the selected format and the characteristics of the raw material.
