OUD ROYAL BASE

A compound perfume base designed to quickly build a rich, woody and amber oud accord. Its profile interprets the olfactory territory of oud through resinous, balsamic, slightly smoky and sensual nuances, without the complexity of rebuilding the accord from scratch.

It is particularly useful as a structural element in the base, adding depth, character and continuity to woody, amber, leather and oriental compositions.

Olfactory profile

Woody, amber, resinous, warm, balsamic, slightly smoky and animalic. The character is dark and enveloping, but balanced enough to integrate into more modern and transparent formulas.

Function in formula

OUD ROYAL BASE can work as the foundation of an oud accord, as reinforcement for a woody-amber base or as a dark accent in a floral, spicy or leathery composition. It helps build depth and a recognizable signature quickly without requiring a long combination of oud-like materials.

How to use it

As a compound base, its level should be adapted to the role it needs to play in the formula. At moderate levels it can add depth and a discreet oud effect; at higher levels it can become one of the main themes of the base.

Useful synergies

Particularly interesting with cedar, sandalwood, patchouli, vetiver, amber woods, labdanum, benzoin, leather, tobacco, rose and dark spices. It can be lightened with clean musks, HEDIONE® or transparent woods when a more contemporary oud effect is desired.

When to choose it

It is suitable when an oud accord needs to be created quickly and controllably, when a woody base needs more depth and intensity, or when an amber or leather composition requires a darker, resinous and more sensual facet.
