MUSCONE LAEVO FIRMENICH

MUSCONE LAEVO is a very high-quality macrocyclic musk characterized by a warm, animalic and highly natural-feeling signature. Compared with cleaner or more powdery musks, it works mainly on intimacy with the skin, sensuality and depth in the base.

Olfactory profile

Musky, warm, animalic and velvety, with nuances of skin, clean fur, soft powder and a light sweet component. The character is more natural-feeling and corporeal than laundry-like.

In formula

It is particularly useful in musk, leather, chypre, tobacco, amber, white flowers and oriental accords. In traces it can add a sensation of living warmth and increase diffusion; at more noticeable levels it builds a more animalic and luxurious musk signature.

With MUSCENONE® it increases depth and sensuality; with EXALTOLIDE it becomes softer and rounder; with leather and resins it creates a more carnal base; with white flowers it can add a very sophisticated skin-like nuance.

How to work with it

It is a very powerful material and is best evaluated at strong dilution. Olfactory sensitivity to muscone can vary considerably from person to person, so it is useful to check the formula with more than one evaluator.

When to choose it

It is particularly suitable when an intimate, animalic and natural-feeling musky signature is needed, closer to the idea of Tonkin musk than clean, metallic or laundry-style musks.
