MUSCENONE® FIRMENICH

MUSCENONE® is a macrocyclic musk with a velvety, sensual and slightly animalic character. Compared with cleaner or laundry-style musks, it works mainly on depth, skin and softness in the base.

Olfactory profile

Musky, powdery, warm and slightly animalic, with a cosmetic, skin-like nuance. The character is elegant and deep, more sensual than clean.

In formula

It is particularly useful in musk, chypre, leather, tobacco, amber, white flowers and woody bases. At low levels it can work as an enhancer; as the dosage increases, the musky signature becomes more evident and enveloping.

With EXALTOLIDE it becomes softer and more natural-feeling; with HABANOLIDE it gains more brightness and cleanliness; with leather and tobacco it increases sensuality; with white flowers it can make the drydown warmer and more corporeal.

When to choose it

It is particularly suitable when a refined, sensual musk is needed, with a discreet animalic component and strong affinity with skin rather than a laundry or metallic effect.
