MYRRH RESINOID DEP 139440 IFF

MYRRH RESINOID DEP is a myrrh resinoid with a balsamic, bitter and slightly smoky character. Compared with benzoin it is less sweet and more austere; compared with olibanum it is darker, softer and earthier.

Olfactory profile

Resinous, balsamic, spicy and slightly smoky, with bitter, woody and earthy nuances and a light honeyed sweetness.

In formula

It is particularly useful in incense, amber, leather, tobacco, chypre, woody and oriental compositions. It can add depth and gravity to the base, reduce excessive sweetness and introduce a darker, more meditative resinous signature.

With OLIBANUM it builds a more complex incense; with BENZOIN it gains softness; with LABDANUM it becomes more amber and leathery; with vanilla it can develop a very interesting sweet-bitter contrast.

How to work with it

As a resinoid, it can be viscous and may benefit from gentle controlled warming to make dispensing easier. It is best evaluated in the drydown, where its balsamic and smoky nuances become clearer.

When to choose it

It is particularly suitable when a dark, balsamic and slightly bitter resin is needed, capable of adding depth without the dominant sweetness of benzoin.

Packaging

The product is packed to order; the container may vary depending on the selected format and the characteristics of the raw material.
