MENTHOL CRYSTALS
MENTHOL is a crystalline raw material with a fresh, mentholated and balsamic character. In perfumery it is not used only to build a mint note: even in traces it can introduce a trigeminal sensation of coolness and make the aromatic part of a formula sharper.
Olfactory profile
Mentholated, fresh, balsamic and slightly sweet, with the typical impression of peppermint and a highly recognizable cooling effect.
In formula
It is particularly useful in mint, lavender, fougère, aromatic, fresh, rose and some floral constructions that need contrast. At low levels it can add vitality and freshness; as the dosage increases, the menthol effect quickly becomes dominant.
With DIHYDROMYRCENOL it increases the sensation of coolness and cleanliness; with lavender and LINALYL ACETATE it works well in fougère; with green notes it can create a sharper aromatic effect; with rose, used in traces, it can provide a very interesting fresh contrast.
How to work with it
It is a powerful crystalline material. Preparing a solution makes dosing easier, and it is best evaluated at low concentrations because the trigeminal component can become dominant very quickly.
When to choose it
It is particularly suitable when a real, physically perceptible menthol freshness is needed, distinct from simple citrus, ozonic or aromatic freshness.
Packaging
The product is packed to order; the container may vary depending on the selected format and the characteristics of the raw material.
