MELOLAL – fruity, green and juicy note with hints of apple, pear and melon

MELOLAL

MELOLAL is a high-impact green-fruity raw material, particularly useful for building melon, cucumber and watery-fruit effects. In concentrate it can appear very green and incisive; in dilution a juicier, fresher and distinctly melon-like component emerges.

Olfactory profile

Green, fruity, watery and slightly aldehydic, with nuances of melon rind, cucumber, pear and green apple. The character is more vegetal and juicy than sweet.

In formula

It is particularly useful in marine, aquatic, melon, cucumber, fresh-fruit and transparent-floral accords. In traces it can add green juiciness and fresh air; as the level increases, the melon-cucumber character quickly becomes more evident.

With CALONE it develops a more marine and melon-like direction; with FLORALOZONE it gains more air; with CYCLAMEN ALDEHYDE it becomes more petal-like and aquatic; with green notes it can build realistic cucumber and not-fully-ripe fruit effects.

How to work with it

It is a very powerful material and is best evaluated in dilution, increasing it in small steps. The distance between a fresh nuance and a dominant melon effect can be very short.

When to choose it

It is particularly suitable when a more vegetal and juicy aquatic-fruity component than CALONE is needed, or when melon and cucumber should be introduced without building a complete accord from scratch.
