MAYOL is a white-floral material with a clean, soft and modern character, with a lily-of-the-valley signature that opens toward magnolia, tuberose and rosy petals. Compared with classic greener muguet materials, it offers a more velvety texture and a slightly woody presence in the upper part of the formula.

Lily of the valley, white petals, fresh floral, soft and slightly rosy, with a discreet spicy nuance and a woody-powdery base.

In formula

MAYOL is particularly useful in lily-of-the-valley, wisteria, magnolia, tuberose and jasmine accords. It can add elasticity and softness to the floral heart, increase the sensation of cleanliness and introduce a subtle woody component that makes the bouquet less flat.

With bergamot and other citrus materials it creates very bright transitions; with ionones and methyl ionones it can build a more powdery floral; with HEDIONE® and white musks it adds volume without making the heart heavy.

MAYOL or HYDROXYCITRONELLAL?

HYDROXYCITRONELLAL tends toward a more classical, green and dewy muguet; MAYOL is softer, more modern, more petal-like and slightly woody. The former builds freshness; the latter adds texture and sophistication.

When to choose it

It is particularly suitable for lily of the valley, magnolia, tuberose, wisteria, jasmine and modern white florals when a clean, velvety and bright sensation with a light woody nuance is desired.
