LINALYL ACETATE
LINALYL ACETATE is one of the fundamental materials for building a soft, natural-feeling floral-bergamot freshness. It is less aromatic and woody than LINALOL COEUR and instead brings a fruitier, smoother brightness that is typically lavender-bergamot.
Olfactory profile
Floral, green, citrusy and slightly fruity, with nuances of sweet lavender, bergamot, clary sage and fresh pear. The character is soft, bright and relatively discreet.
In formula
LINALYL ACETATE is particularly useful in bergamot, lavender, lavandin, petitgrain, fougère and fresh florals. It can soften an overly sharp citrus top, connect aromatic and floral notes and create a more natural, continuous transition between top and heart.
With LINALOL COEUR it forms a classic pair: LINALOOL brings the floral-woody and aromatic side, while LINALYL ACETATE brings the softer, fruitier and more bergamot-like facet. With citrus and petitgrain it increases naturalness and fluidity.
How to work with it
It is more of a blending material than a protagonist note. Its effect is easy to understand by comparing the same formula with and without it: it often makes the top less harsh and the transition into the heart more elegant.
When to choose it
It is particularly suitable for bergamot, lavender, petitgrain, fougère and fresh florals when a soft, bright and natural-feeling freshness is desired.
