ISOBUTYL PHENYLACETATE

ISOBUTYL PHENYLACETATE is a fruity-floral raw material with a sweet, honeyed and slightly balsamic character. It is useful for adding volume to pear, white flowers and delicate floral accords, especially when a petal-like nuance with less obvious sweetness than brighter fruity esters is needed.

Olfactory profile

Fruity, floral, honeyed and slightly balsamic, with nuances of pear, rose, narcissus, cocoa, honey and a light musky component.

In formula

It is particularly useful in pear, rose, peony, narcissus, freesia, hyacinth and soft floral bouquets. It can create a fleshy-petal sensation, increase sweetness in the heart and connect fruit and flowers without producing an overly ester-like effect.

With PHENYLETHYL ACETATE it becomes rosier and fruitier; with BENZYL ACETATE it gains brightness; with pear notes it builds riper pulp; with white flowers it can add a soft honeyed nuance.

How to work with it

It is a relatively diffusive material and should be evaluated in the context of the formula, because its sweetness can feel different depending on the floral and balsamic materials present.

When to choose it

It is particularly suitable when a softer, honeyed and more petal-like fruity-floral component is needed than fresher, brighter pear esters.
