HEXYL BUTYRATE
HEXYL BUTYRATE is a fruity ester with a bright, juicy and slightly green character. It is particularly useful when creating an impression of fresh pulp, apple, pear and pale fruits without introducing overly syrupy sweetness.
Olfactory profile
Fruity, green, juicy and clean, with nuances of green apple, pear, pale peach and fresh pulp.
In formula
It is particularly useful in apple, pear, tropical fruit, fruity-floral, shampoo accords and clean-fruity compositions. It can add juiciness to the top, lighten fruity accords that feel too dense and create a natural bridge between fruit and the floral heart.
With HEXYL ACETATE it increases green-fruity brightness; with CIS-3-HEXENOL it becomes fresher and more vegetal; with lactones it can support peach and apricot; with OSMANTHUS BASE it works well in softer fruity-floral accords.
How to work with it
It is best evaluated in dilution and introduced in small increments, because at very high levels it can become linear and artificially fruity. Its strength is the ability to add volume and juiciness without heaviness.
When to choose it
It is particularly suitable when a fresh, transparent and green fruit effect is needed that feels more juicy than sweet, especially in apple, pear and pale-fruit accords.
