HEDIONE® HC Firmenich

HEDIONE® HC is the High Cis version of the HEDIONE® family from dsm-firmenich. It is not simply a “more concentrated” HEDIONE®: the greater presence of the cis fraction significantly changes its olfactory impact, making the floral character more evident, radiant and immediate.

Olfactory profile

Compared with classic HEDIONE®, HEDIONE® HC shows the jasmine-magnolia side more clearly: floral, luminous, fresh and petal-like, with a subtle green-citrus nuance. The sensation is brighter and more incisive while retaining the transparency typical of the HEDIONE® family.

In formula

HEDIONE® HC acts as a powerful floral amplifier. It increases radiance, diffusion and the presence of the heart and can open floral accords that feel too dense or closed.

It is particularly effective with jasmine, magnolia, tuberose and other white flowers, but can also be very interesting alongside citrus, green notes, musks and transparent woods. In these contexts it does more than reinforce a floral note: it can increase projection and make the entire structure easier to read.

Its greater strength compared with classic HEDIONE® means that a 1:1 substitution can significantly change the balance of the formula. When the goal is simply to create space and volume without increasing the floral character too much, classic HEDIONE® may be more suitable. When a more evident floral impulse and greater radiance are needed, HEDIONE® HC becomes particularly interesting.

When to choose it

HEDIONE® HC is a good choice when the floral heart needs to emerge more clearly, when a composition needs more projection, or when the transparency of the HEDIONE® family is desired with a more present jasmine-magnolia signature.

HEDIONE® HC or HEDIONE®?

Classic HEDIONE® works mainly on space, naturalness and the architecture of the formula; HEDIONE® HC adds a more intense floral component and a stronger booster effect. They are therefore not simply two power levels of the same material: they allow the perfumer to achieve different balances.
