CLEMENTINE ESSENTIAL OIL
Clementine essential oil is a natural raw material with a citrusy, juicy and soft profile, combining mandarin-like sweetness with a rounder freshness than lemon or grapefruit. It is particularly useful when the opening needs to feel bright and fruity without becoming too sharp or bitter.
Olfactory profile
Citrusy, sweet, juicy and slightly floral, with nuances of mandarin, fresh orange, sweet peel and ripe pulp.
In formula
It is particularly useful in colognes, citrus accords, fruity compositions, fresh florals, tea, aromatic structures and light gourmands. It can soften an overly acidic opening, add a pulp-like sensation to citrus accords and create a natural transition into the heart.
With BERGAMOT it gains greater elegance and brightness; with MANDARIN it becomes softer and fruitier; with PETITGRAIN it develops a greener facet; with white flowers, light spices or vanilla it can move toward more floral or gourmand directions.
How to work with it
Like other citrus essential oils, it is relatively volatile and sensitive to oxidation. It is best stored tightly closed, away from light and heat, and evaluated in the complete formula together with materials that support its persistence.
When to choose it
It is particularly suitable when a sweet, juicy and luminous natural citrus note is needed, softer than lemon and less bitter than grapefruit, capable of connecting citrus, fruity and floral materials with ease.
