CITRONELLYL ACETATE

CITRONELLYL ACETATE is a floral-fruity raw material with a rosy, citrusy and green character. Compared with CITRONELLOL, it is more ester-like and fruity, with a pear-and-apple nuance that makes it useful for lightening and modernizing rose and muguet accords.

Olfactory profile

Rosy, fruity, green and slightly citrusy, with nuances of pear, apple, bergamot, lavender and peony. The character is fresh, clean and softer than pure citronellol.

In formula

It is particularly useful in rose, lily of the valley, lavender, peony, colognes and fruity-florals. It can give rose a juicier freshness, make the transition between fruit and petal feel more natural and lighten floral structures that are too dense.

With CITRONELLOL it increases the fruity, rounded side; with GERANYL ACETATE it creates a more complex rosy effect; with bergamot and LINALYL ACETATE it fits well in colognes and aromatic compositions; with pear and apple it reinforces the fruity component without becoming gourmand.

How to work with it

It works well as a modifier and blending material. In small amounts it can simply add lift and fruit; as the dosage increases, the rosy-pear signature becomes more evident.

When to choose it

It is particularly suitable when a fresher, fruitier and lighter rose is needed than one built with CITRONELLOL and GERANIOL alone.
