BENZYL ALCOHOL
BENZYL ALCOHOL is a very discreet floral raw material, useful mainly as a blending and support material rather than as a leading note. Its odor is soft, slightly rosy and balsamic, with a light almond nuance.
Olfactory profile
Delicate floral, rosy, balsamic and slightly almond-like, with an almost neutral nuance. The character is unobtrusive, which makes it particularly useful within complex formulas.
In formula
It is particularly useful in rose, jasmine, white flowers, floral bouquets and accords where softer transitions between more characterful materials are needed. It can contribute to continuity in the heart and make the transition between floral components and the base feel more natural.
With PHENYLETHYL ALCOHOL it supports the rosy side; with BENZYL ACETATE it can give greater continuity to a jasmine accord; with salicylates and HEDIONE® it fits well into broad, transparent floral structures.
How to work with it
Its usefulness emerges mainly in formula rather than in isolated evaluation. It should not be chosen to add a strong olfactory signature, but when a soft, minimally characterful material is needed to help bind the bouquet.
When to choose it
It is particularly suitable when discreet floral support is needed to soften and connect materials without excessively changing the character of the composition.
Packaging
The product is packed to order; the container may vary depending on the selected format and the characteristics of the raw material.
