BASIL BASE

BASIL BASE is a compound green-aromatic base designed to quickly introduce a fresh, spicy and slightly citrusy basil effect. Compared with a simple herbal note, it brings greater aromatic complexity and a tension between green facets, mint and bitter orange.

Olfactory profile

Green, aromatic, spicy and fresh, with nuances of basil, mint, bitter orange and crushed leaves. The character is clear and dynamic, more aromatic than floral.

In formula

It is particularly useful in aromatic, citrus, fougère, green, cologne and Mediterranean accords. It can enliven a citrus top, make an herbal accord feel more natural and create contrast with flowers or fruits that are too sweet.

With bergamot and petitgrain it becomes more luminous; with lavandin and TERPINEOL PG it becomes more aromatic; with green materials it develops a freshly cut-leaf effect; with clean musks it works well in fresh contemporary compositions.

When to choose it

It is particularly suitable when a green, spicy, Mediterranean freshness is needed, with more character than a simple citrus or herbal note.
