ALLYL IONONE

ALLYL IONONE is a fruity-green-woody material from the ionone family, with a more tropical and dynamic signature than classic ionones. It adds volume and diffusion without pushing the formula toward an overly recognizable iris or violet effect.

Olfactory profile

Fruity, green, woody and slightly waxy, with nuances of pineapple, tropical fruit, petals and soft wood. Its character is brighter and fruitier than IONONE BETA and less powdery than methyl ionones.

In formula

It is particularly useful in fruity florals, tropical accords, rose, jasmine, transparent woods and modern compositions. It can increase volume and diffusion, add an exotic nuance to the heart and create an elegant bridge between fruit, flowers and woods.

With IONONE BETA it gains more violet-woody depth; with ISO E SUPER® it increases woody volume; with BENZYL ACETATE and HEDIONE® it fits well into luminous floral hearts; with peach, raspberry or pineapple it strengthens the fruity direction without making it overly sweet.

How to work with it

It is a characterful material and is best evaluated in dilution, especially when its tropical facet is intended as a nuance rather than the main theme. Its effect on formula volume becomes more evident in the heart and drydown.

When to choose it

It is particularly suitable when a less classical ionone is needed: fruitier, greener and more tropical, capable of adding movement to florals, woods and modern fruity accords.
