ALDEHYDE C11 UNDECYLENIC

ALDEHYDE C11 UNDECYLENIC is an aliphatic aldehyde with a rosy, waxy and highly diffusive character. In the concentrated material it can feel fatty and oily; in dilution, a more elegant combination of fresh citrus, rose petals, pale wood and a soapy nuance emerges.

Olfactory profile

Aldehydic, waxy, rosy, citrusy, slightly ozonic and woody, with a clean soap nuance. Compared with C9 and C10, it has a more evident rosy and structural component.

In formula

ALDEHYDE C11 UNDECYLENIC is very effective for adding lift, diffusion and a recognizable aldehydic signature to rose, tuberose, jasmine, iris, citrus and incense accords. It can also support amber and musk, introducing a more airy sensation and a slightly soapy brightness.

It is particularly useful when a floral bouquet feels too soft or compact: a small amount can increase tension and projection without turning the composition into an overtly aldehydic accord.

How to work with it

It is best evaluated in dilution because the concentrated material emphasizes the fatty side. It can solidify or thicken at lower temperatures; in that case, the tightly closed bottle can be warmed gently until the material returns to the fluidity required for use, avoiding direct heat.

When to choose it

It is particularly suitable for rose, tuberose, jasmine, iris, citrus and aldehydic bouquets when a rosy-waxy signature, higher diffusion and an elegant clean effect are desired.
