ACETAL CD Givaudan
ACETAL CD, also known as Hyacinth Acetal, is a floral-green raw material that is particularly useful when a fresh, luminous and slightly honeyed hyacinth effect is needed without making the formula too heavy.
Olfactory profile
Floral, green, fresh and slightly honeyed, with facets of hyacinth, cyclamen and rose. The character is luminous and clean, with a green component that prevents the effect from becoming overly sweet.
In formula
It is particularly useful in hyacinth, cyclamen, green floral bouquets, chypre and spring-like compositions. It can add naturalness to the heart, create continuity between green and floral facets and make a fresh-petal accord more legible.
With HYDROXYCITRONELLAL and MAYOL it reinforces the muguet facet; with CYCLAMEN ALDEHYDE it increases freshness and dewiness; with HEDIONE® it gains more air and diffusion; with ionones it can develop a more powdery floral nuance.
How to work with it
Its value emerges especially in the heart of the formula, where it can function both as a thematic material and as a bridge. Evaluating it in dilution helps reveal the floral-green side more clearly than the more technical note perceived in the concentrate.
When to choose it
It is particularly useful when a fresh, green and luminous hyacinth effect is required, or when a floral accord needs more naturalness and continuity between leaf, stem and petal.
