Origin : Haiti – the plant grows year-round, with continuous harvesting and distillation
Extraction method : steam distillation of the rhizomes – compliant with the NF ISO 9235 standard, guaranteeing a 100% pure and natural product
INCI : Vetiveria zizanioides root oil

Organoleptic characteristics

  • Appearance : Viscous liquid, brown-yellow to red-brown
  • Aroma : Deep and earthy, with woody notes, slightly smoky and with a delicate citrus undertone (grapefruit)

Main chemical composition

It contains essential compounds such as β-vetivenene, β-vetivone, khusimol, α-vetivone and isovalencenol – responsible for the distinctive olfactory character and fixing properties.
