• Rich and realistic aroma of freshly tanned suede and leather: soft yet very distinctive, with a clearly perceptible “suede” trail.
• In the nuances: smoky, tobacco-like, slightly resinous and “animal” notes (animalic / castoreum / phenolic), which give depth and character to the compositions.
• Often used as a base note, it creates a solid structure for leathery, tobacco, woody, musky, oriental and niche fragrances.
• It belongs to the heart and base notes.

Technical features and use

• Light yellow to amber liquid at room temperature.
• Recommended usage level: up to ~5–10% in scented concentrate.
• Excellent consistency: the aroma lasts on the mouillette for over a week and for a long time on the skin and in the finished fragrance.
• Mixes well with alcohol, DPG, IPM and most base oils.
• IFRA 51: No restrictions for category 4.
